NOT BOYCOTTING PRODUCTS FROM ISRAEL

There were more than 875 people were killed in Palestine, half of population are decrease in Palestine, Israel getting anarchist from day to day. They destroyed mosque, hospital, mass media office, ambulances and other public facilities. Even they killed people who should not to be killed, they shot three journalists, injured a Reuters journalist, killed a driver who drove a food supply to Palestine. Those actions proved that they are cruel and have no mercy - killing innocent lives.

As a proud Muslim, I strongly suggest that we should not boycott Israel products. There are pros and cons if we boycott products from Israel.

For instance, if we do boycott the products from Israel like McDonald, the Muslim workers have to resign. These people are innocent. They shouldn’t be blamed just because they work there. They are doing the “halal” job to find money to feed their family.

Quoted by Dr. M in his blog, "boycotting US products is just a way to show displeasure with Washington — for developments in Gaza”. He added "We will not bring the US economy crashing down. It will continue to prosper. But the US and Americans must know how much the world dislike or even hate them" But if 10 per cent of the people in the world who drink Coca-Cola stop drinking it there would be some impact. If Malaysians drink, say 50 per cent less Coca-Cola (because their lives depend on it) there would be some impact also.

To me, the boycotting thing is kind of lame. Boycotting is not a practical way.
There are lots of other alternatives to turn down Israeli economy. One Malaysian doing by forcing Arabs and European nation and PBB to take Israeli down the tunnel is one of the best ways Malaysian have ever did.

In my point of view, we got no cool choice. Tell me if we got non-Israeli McDonald-like food, non-Israeli upper class Starbucks-like coffee and place. It’s like crazy to not to have this in your life. If we really are boycotting, we being snobbish , not in the right way. Pretending not accept their existence but there’s no close competitor to these people

Plus , majority of all our daily necessities and needs like Colgate , Nestle , Kotex and other products have the best quality-it’s undeniable right ?

Perhaps, we can show our displeasure by other means like launching the donations to Gaza and all.

Here are other 10 resolutions tabled by our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. First of all, condemn strongly the Israeli military attacks on the Palestinian Territory of Gaza, which has claimed the lives of Palestinian civilians, including women , children , infants and the elderly , and urges the full withdrawal of Israel from Gaza.

Secondly, urge the United Nations Security Council to compel Israel to immediately cease its military attacks on Gaza through a ceasefire and to deploy a United Nations peace-keeping force to enforce the ceasefire.

Thirdly,urge the United Nations General Assembly to convene an Emergency Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly - “Uniting For Peace”-under resolution 377A(V) if the council fails to implement its decisions as adopted on Jan 8.

Fourthly, urge the party involved to continue efforts towards the peace process as well as implement and adhere to the resolution adopted by the United Nations on the issue of Palestine and the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Then, decide for Malaysia to work with member states of the Organization of Islamic Conference , Non-aligned Movement , Arab League and other like-minded states to uphold the principles of international law and the charter of the United Nations in addressing the conflict in the Middle East.

Next, express the solidarity of the Malaysians people towards the cause of the Palestinian people in establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state.

Urge the Palestinian people to unite in safeguarding their inalienable rights and establishment of n independent and sovereign Palestinian state.

Appeal to the international community to immediately extend humanitarian contributions to the people of Gaza.

Urge the United Nations General Assembly to immediately establish an international Criminal Tribunal For Palestine to investigate and prosecute suspected Israeli war criminals involved in the brutal and aggressive acts on the Palestinian people.

And last but not least, decide to transmit this resolution to all relevant legislative assemblies and parliaments , especially the United States Congress , the British Parliament and the European Parliament.

As the conclusion, we need to think of the pros and cons of our decisions in order to keep other Muslims “alive and safe”
